Coffee Bean Export

ADI buys green coffee beans for export to US coffee roasters from partners based primarily in Sumatra, Indonesia, as well as Honduras and Guatemala. This trade allows our partners in the US to enjoy farmer-direct coffee as ADI grows long-term relationships with producers in rural Indonesia, Honduras, and Guatemala. In our most recent shipment at the end of 2023, ADI bought 68, 125lb bags of green Sumatran coffee beans, which we are currently roasting and marketing to coffee shops and individual customers! ADI expects the sale of coffee to be a long-term opportunity for neighborly exchange between US partners and rural coffee farmers.

Relationship Building + Farmer-Direct Trade

ADI’s coffee initiative promotes farmer-direct trade by building relationships with coffee growers around the world. Through these relationships, ADI helps provide small farmers with direct access to the global coffee market, while also enabling them to perform value adding processes locally and to sell the beans at a fair price. In addition, by traveling regularly to rural villages, our field partners grow in their awareness of issues impacting the well-being of small holding farming families.
